"Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening."

In this poem Robert Frost is trying to hide the real identity of the character in the poem. All the things mentioned in the poem correlate with real things and actions of Santa Clause. The mysterious man covers up the real person's identity who would be Santa. Also, the horse would be covering up the reindeer.

The author writes the glorious poem of "Stopping by the Woods on a Snowy Evening" to tell Santa's life. When he mentions "frozen lake," he wishes he could freeze  time so he could deliver presents to the children around the world. The reason why he also wants to freeze time is because he is getting to old and he wouldn't get all the gifts delivered in time to the whole world.  "And miles to go before I sleep," perhaps means that the man has a long time before he dies. When winter comes around children all over the world get very excited. Christmas goes by and then all the children forget about Santa and his reindeer.

In conclusion, I believe the author is trying to make the readers understand and realize how Santa has many more years to go before he sleeps. Even though children forget about him, he wants to keep the promises he has made to them.
